I love paintings because they say something about you, about what you like, about what you don't like, about the associations and feelings which you associate with the image, and just sometimes, occasionally, they say something about the colour of your wallpaper. But always it's all about you.
Oxford Drawn is a series of pen and ink drawings exploring the everyday beauty of City normally only known for it's College buildings and University. Each artwork is a piece of social history, documenting the city at one given point in time, as seen through it's shop fronts, road signs, street furniture, retail, domestic and community buildings. The work is made up of 120 black and white images which will run parallel down two sides of a corridor, giving the illusion of movement, travel and discovery.
