Mansfield College was founded in 1838, one year after Queen Victoria came to the throne. It was the first non-conformist college in the University which meant students didn't have to be part of the church of England to be awarded a degree.

This is the college library. It was designed by Basil Champney 1887-1889. Other college buildings in Oxford he designed include Oriel, Lady Margaret Hall, and Somerville library.

Mansfield College Chapel is another of Basil Champney's  buildings. It is used for talks, presentations and events.
